Blending Incredible Learning in Peru - Days 481 to 488
Updated: Mar 21, 2019
We have just completed an amazing 8 days "Immersion" retreat in Peru, deepening our understanding of the Three Principles as well as exploring and discovering this fascinating area. What a fabulous way of blending incredible learning in Peru. More details about places we have visited to come…

We arrived in Cusco, a city high in the Peruvian Andes, with narrow cobbled streets, Inca and ancient history, beautiful colourful clothes and textiles, llamas and dogs. We had come here, not only to explore the area as part of our global travels but also to be on an Immersion of the Three Principles Retreat run by Jack Pransky and Nicole Beasley.
On our first day here, I treated myself to a cardigan with vibrant colours blended together. What a metaphor for the next 8 days, a beautiful blend of learning, connecting, deep listening, exploring and much climbing!

We built new friendships from people based in Canada, USA and Britain, some bonds may last a short while, others a lifetime. Who knows? It is now that matters, a profound connection with love, joy and laughter. Yes, there was much laughter.
Jack and Nicole have an amazing ability to lead from such a humble, egoless place. Our sessions were like a gentle breeze. We learnt from one another, sharing experiences of how understanding the Three Principles have impacted our lives. Jack guided us to focus on the “what” rather than the “how”; the description of the universal innate system that gives us our experience of life. We explored and quietly allowed ourselves to deeply listen, giving space to others and ourselves about issues we had been holding onto, creating new thoughts from the flow of universal wisdom. I had an amazing insight during one of the deep listening sessions which I share on Glows Coaching.

We had tours of ancient places in Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu with a spiritual man from the area, Miguel who is truly united with the spiritual essence of the place, informing us of fascinating facts and beliefs of the Incas and older civilisations. This area is a treasure trove of archaeology with walls of massive blocks of megalithic stone that fit together like a jigsaw puzzle, so precisely. How on earth was this done? When we climbed up to Machu Picchu, we could see that this magical place was home to several periods by the different levels of construction. I will write about this later.
Interestingly the older the architecture, the more perfect. When and why was this incredible building skill lost? How did these ancient people learn these skills without the modern day tools we have today? Many questions; the answers we heard are just speculations.

One particular day was spent in the Garden of Eden. Ok, it was in the garden of the Hotel Iorana in Urubamba, and there was no serpent. Instead, many beautiful plants, trees, bushes and flowers full of colour, a stream flowing through, butterflies playing, and birds perching on trees as if curious to know what we were doing. I was captivated watching a hummingbird with its wings beating so fast it seemed to defy the laws of physics.
This time was so enriching; especially the next day where we listened and shared our insights from these unique moments in nature. Magical! It’s incredible what we can hear from our own wisdom when we go beyond our personal thinking and busy minds.
I am so grateful for having a deeper understanding of the Three Principles, seeing it in action with the flow of life. This glorious time together, blended wonderfully with the relaxed organisation of Andy Metcalfe, with Jack and Nicole holding the space for us all to learn from a place of love.
My big reminder was that we are all OK. Every 7.5 billion people in the world are OK. As Jack Pransky so wisely says “All we are is peace, love and wisdom and the power to create the illusion that we’re not”.
